What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a minimally invasive skin resurfacing procedure. It helps reduce the appearance of acne scars or other skin imperfections by revealing newer, undamaged skin. Most people get the procedure on their face, but it can be done anywhere on the body. During the treatment, your provider will use a surgical scalpel-type device that will gently shave off the superficial layers of the skin. The results are not permanent and will usually last around three to four weeks.
